Dr. Meenal Garg is a well-known Pediatric Neurologist practising in Jaipur. After completing her MBBS and MD, Dr. Meenal Garg has done post-doctoral fellowship in Pediatric Neurology and Epilepsy from the prestigious B.J. Wadia Hospital for Children, Mumbai. She has previously worked at many reputed pediatric and multi-speciality hospitals in Jaipur and currently practices at Center for Child Neurology and Epilepsy (CCNE) and Surya Hospital in Jaipur.

Dr. Meenal is trained to diagnose and treat patients with neurological and developmental problems such as cerebral palsy, developmental delay,  epilepsy/seizures, Autism, ADHD, headaches and migraine, neuromuscular disorders, paediatric stroke, neuro-infections, neonatal neurological diseases, neuroregression, neurodegenerative conditions, intellectual diasbility, learning disorders, neurogenetic diseases, neurometabolic conditions etc. She is trained in clinical electrophysiology and management of complex pediatric neurological disorders.

She has keen interest in research and has authored more than 25 publications in international and national journals. She has presented various papers at national and international conferences, including International Child Neurology Conference and award-winning paper presentation at AIIMS, New Delhi. She has also contributed book chapters and acts as a reviewer for many journals. She has participated as invited speaker at many conferences and academic programs and has great interest in organizing academic meetings. She also contributes her services to Pediatric Neurology Camps organized by charitable organisations to benefit the under-privileged rural patients in interior areas.

Experience in Pediatric Neurology

Worked in Pediatric Neurology Clinics during post-graduation and gained a basic understanding of pediatric neurology. Developed an interest in pediatric neurology to consider specialization after post-graduation.

Worked s Research officer in the Pediatric Neurosciences Department at Bai Jerbai Wadia Hospital for Children, Mumbai. Participated in basic research in the department as well as furthered my interest in pediatric neurology.

Joined as Fellow in Pediatric Neurosciences Department at Bai Jerbai Wadia Hospital for Children, Mumbai for two years. During this time

o Attended Outpatient department thrice a week with clinics in Pediatric Neurology, Epilepsy and Cerebral Palsy with around 180-200 patients per week

o Separate Clinics for discussing difficult cases in Neurology; as well as combined clinics with Neurosurgery and discussion of resistant epilepsy and Epilepsy Surgery patients

o In patient management in pediatric neurology including neonatal cases and Intensive Care Unit patient

o  Training in Electrophysiology including EEG, EMG/NCV and VEP

o Attended Physical therapy, Occupational therapy and speech and audiology clinics o Attended Ketogenic diet program clinics for Resistant Epilepsy

o Attended Cerebral palsy Interdisciplinary meetings with physiotherapists, occupational therapists, speech therapists, visual rehabilitation therapists, orthopaedic surgeons, orthotists etc for comprehensive management of cerebral palsy patients
